Written by Rudy Clark and originally recorded by James Ray in 1962, this was Harrison’s first #1 since “All Those Years Ago” in 1981. The song was Harrison’s last #1 hit and last single to chart. ELO bandleader Jeff Lynne produced this song with Harrison. His influence can be heard in the backing vocals of the chorus. Along with Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan, and Tom Petty, Harrison and Lynne formed The Traveling Wilburys in 1988.
