Many of the early Beatles singles featured John Lennon on harmonica, who played it quite convincingly. Later, the instrument was dropped from recordings, as the Beatles felt the novelty was wearing thin. But here, John plays and sings an “up” song he wrote, which was the first song featured in the movie A Hard Day’s Night. The boys are in a train compartment playing cards, and are soon singing this song.
