“Riders On The Storm” was one of the last songs the Doors recorded before Jim Morrison left for France and died a few weeks later. The 1971 recording, over 7 minutes long, went to #14 on the charts. The song had staying power, and is more popular now than it was then. The song has been used in several films (The Hitcher, 1986) because of its dark atmosphere. John Densmore provides the drumming.
